Luke Kennard is a Sniper

Rob Pelinka closed a deal, and for a long range assassin in Luke Kennard in a swap with the Atlanta Hawks for Gabe Vincent & a 2032 2nd round pick. Kennard is shooting 49.7 lights out from 3 Point range which should pair perfectly with the shot creation of Luka Doncic (LeBron and Reaves also for that matter). They didn’t get any better with defense or athleticism in this trade but with Gabe Vincent shooting 35.3 percent from 3 this year so far for the Lakers that alone should provide a much needed boost as the Lakers gear up for the playoff run. It’s not exactly what we needed and doesn’t fill the most glaring holes on this team, but it’s a good bandaid in the short term for a team that sorely needed an upgrade from beyond the arc. In today’s NBA, made or missed 3’s can make all the difference. Welcome Luke Kennard!
