Luka's Injury UPDATE

Bad news first, Luka Doncic is listed as doubtful for Saturday night's game at home vs the Golden State Warriors.

Per ESPN Dave McMenamin “There is some initial optimism that Luka Doncic is not dealing with a major issue with his left hamstring, however the Lakers star is doubtful to play Saturday against the Golden State Warriors, sources tell ESPN”

This release says a little, but a lot. Last thing the Lakers can afford right now is extended time minus their best player in Luka Doncic. LA has 4 games between now and the All Star break, it may behoove the Lakeshow to hold out their MVP candidate until after the break to allow more time to rest and heal up for the stretch run - in a perfect world. Precautionary measures seem like the smart way to go although I wouldn’t be surprised to see Luka back in action by Thursday against the Mavs or sooner just based on this update. Regardless, the good news is it’s not as bad as it looked.
