Luka's Drops 60! LeBron Triple Double Overwhelm Heat in South Beach

They literally went through the motions until late into the first half, but who could blame them. They played less than 24 hours ago in Houston and landed in Miami in 5 AM. The Heat didn't care and took full advantage of the drowsy Lakers ripping off 42 points in the first quarter. Leading 42-29 after one period.

The second quarter fared far better for LA who outscored Miami 30-23 in the period and showed signs of life on both ends. LeBron was started the charge in the second quarter showing the first sign of fresh legs in the back to back. The third quarter howver was all Luka Magic scoring 19 of his season high 60 points in the period and the Lakers blasted the Heat 38-23 in the third to give themselves a 97-88 lead after leading by as much as 13 in the quarter.

Luka continued in the final period to be a terror, MVP chants reigned from the opposing crowd. LeBron also put his stamp on a 19 point 15 rebound 10 assist triple double in his return to the city that brought him his first ring. Austing Reaves added 18 and Marcus Smart chipped in 13. Bam Adebayo led the heat with 28 in the loss. The Lakers prevailed 134-126 for the team's eighth straight win.
