Luka & LeBron combine for 70 as Lakers Win 124-116, Sweep Two Game Series in Houston

40 points 10 Assist and 9 Rebounds for Luka Magic, and it felt routine. LeBron was young LeBron in the first half connecting on three dunks in the half including a ridiculous alley oop on a pass from Marcus Smart that looked about three feet beyond the backboard that he somehow converted. He also scored 18 points of his 30 overall in the first 24 minutes, Deandre Ayton also had a strong first half with 14 of his 16 points in the half on a perfect shooting half. Luka Doncic chipped in 18 points of his own in the opening half that the Lakers cruised to a 67-55 strong halftime lead behind a stifling defense that held Kevin Durant to two points in the first two quarters.
The third period belonged totally to Houston, Kevin Durant after being held down broke out in the period with 13 in the third alone (finished with 18) and Houston outscored the Lakers 37-22 in the period to take a 92-89 lead into the final period. Sengun, returning from injury scored 18 of his 24 points by the end of the third with the Rockets stealing momentum from LA who had been firing on all cylinders prior to halftime.
LA came out in the fourth with a 7-0 run to take the lead back 96-92 with 5 from Reaves in that strech including a three AR finished the game with a quiet 12 points. Houston tied the game up with buckets from Amen Thompson and and two free throws from Sengun before LeBron gave LA back a 98-96 lead with a 3 foot two point shot. James followed that up with a layup and a 10 footer by Ayton to give LA a 102-96 lead. Timeout Houston. The Rockets roared out of the timeout with a 9-0 run capped by a bucket by Sengun at the rim the rockets led 105-102. LA responded witha 15-6 run including 3's from Rui and Luka and capped by an alley oop from Luka to Rui and yet two more LeBron oops and Luka Dagger 3. LA led 120-111 with 58.4 seconds after this wild sequence. They won the game 124-116 for their 7th straight victory.
