LA comes in to the highest elevated city in America on a three game win streak, albeit against lowly competition. The Denver Nuggets - akin to their geographical altitude are not lowly or a lottery team loaded with talent like the Pelicans. They are the 5th seed in the Western Conference which the Lakers have the ability to overtake with a win tonight. It WON'T be easy. The Lakers won the last game vs the Nuggets where they had to rally to win late vs the Jokic-less Denver squad 115-107 last month. Luka Doncic is 3-0 in games he's played vs Denver since his arrival in LA, that is a good sign but tonight the Purple and Gold come in as +5.5 underdogs on a squad minus Aaron Gordon, but with Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray available (who seems to shoot 70 percent from the floor vs the Lakers) it should be a dog fight between two teams fighting for position. Outside of seeding the Lakeshow need this win to give their fans and media alike one of the most powerful things in the world - belief. Because right now, even on a three game winning streak things still feel a little off. Let's hope Austin Reaves bounces back off this six game stretch that's been his worst slump of the season with a Reaves like performance on the road vs a contending team. Buckle up Lakers fans, with a win the momentum should bubble and the win streak becomes solidified. With a loss, don't turn on ESPN tomorrow. It will be ugly.
