It might get dark here soon in LA. The Lakers have a few wins over above .500 teams in 2026, even less with teams not missing their best player (Jokic, Curry)
I believe the wins over Philly and Toronto are the only one's this calendar year to fit such bill. It's already march, so no need to say that is concerning and probably a sign of things to come in the postseason.
Th Lakers have a chance to get a quality win over the 41-23 2nd seed NY Knicks who come in off an almost 40 point victory vs the Nuggets, who the Lakers lost to Thursday night. From today March 8th through March 23rd the Lakers opponents are as follows: New York, Minnesota, Chicago, Denver, at Houston twice, at Miami, at Orlando, at Detroit. I'll be honest the Bulls game I'm sure we'll be favored but that MIGHT be the only one. If LA doesn't develop an identity and attack both ends with more effort in consistency not only will this stretch be a difficult watch for even die hard fans, it will surely drop us to the play in. If we continue to play the way we've been against contending or even scrappy teams. We wont escape this nine game stretch with more than three wins - guaranteed. Let's hope for the opposite. Wake up Lakers!
