Two straight tough games, two straight convincing wins. The Lakers completed a sweep to exact a small measure of revenge against the team that sent them packing in 2025 - in addition to their third consecutive victory. Luka Doncic put in a triple double with 31 points, 11 assist and 11 rebounds while Austin Reaves added 31 points 7 rebounds and 8 assist with 4 deep balls including two 4 point plays. AR-15 returned to pre injury Austin Reaves in a major way.
In a game that the Lakers started 0-7 from the field and was a slugfest throughout the first half the Lakers found a way to break through. Deandre Ayton powered the LeBron-less Lakers in the first half in a contest that was tied at 45 at half with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the opening 24 minutes (14 & 12 overall) . Austin Reaves struggled in the first half but so did everyone else including Anthony Edwards who had 14 points on 2/15 shooting an 1/10 from deep in the game.
In the third quarter the Austin Reaves snapped out of his slump with 16 points in the period. The Lakeshow turned up the heat on offense pouring in 39 points and held the Wolves to 23 to lead 84-68 after the favorable third quarter. LA kept the Wolves at bay with stifiling defense getting there lead above 20 points and ending the game at
