Did The Lakers Loss Shake Morale?

I actually don't think so. Luka's injury is the more concering issue at hand in my opinion. The loss was nothing short of demoralizing for the team and fanbase alike, but it was still only one game. I've been a Lakers fan for my whole life and only seen a handful of debacle to compare. The game got out of hand in the first 6 minutes it felt like we had 10 turnovers. We never had a chance to get on track losing 44-21 after one and it got uglier throughout. I feel like after the shell shocking first quarter the Lakers let go of the rope. Now that could be a terrible sign, but could also serve as silver lining. Thanks to the schedule gods we also get another crack at OKC on Tuesday at home.

LA hasn't looked this overmatched since it's last game in Oklahama City in November. The good part about seeding with LA most pacing to finish as the third seed and the Thunder at one, these teams would not face each other until the Western Conference Finals if they were to make it that far - if we do really. With that being said a rematch Tuesday to try and get one win over the defending champions could still help with the mentality that we can hang with this team, if we don't let it get away in the first quarter. Once the playoffs begin nobody will be thinking about this game it'll be just a moment in a long NBA regular season and if they are to meet with everything on the line the Lakers should be more ready, being that it'll take two playoff series wins to even happen. For now, let's start with Tuesday and try to get this ugly taste out of our mouth. Let's remember how well this team has been playing and how great of a team the Thunder are, it happens but its just ONE GAME.
